This project was an extensive renovation of an early 20th Century Home in the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood. This was one of several recent collaborations with Newland Architecture. We completely gutted the existing kitchen and bath, we also tore out part of the third floor and added an all new bath where there had previously been a closet. We built a small kitchen addition and placed a massive steel beam to open up the floor plan to the dining room. The house lacked central air, so a high velocity system was added. In floor heat was added to the new kitchen and baths. We custom built the kitchen cabinets and created a walk in pantry. The second floor bath features all new tile, a soaker tub, custom vanity and medicine cabinets. The third floor bath also features a nice tile installation and beautiful custom built oak vanity. Most all of the plumbing and electrical were upgraded. We also sanded the wood floors and repainted the home. This project was a great example of adding modern convenience and utility to a vintage home.
