Uptown Bathroom

Complete renovation of a bathroom in an Uptown Condominium. In fact, this is the third bathroom we have completed in the same building, that's the power of customer referral. This unique design features a no barrier shower with a floor to ceiling glass door and tile installation. We custom fabricated the vanity and rail and stile wall paneling.

This small St. Paul bathroom was torn down to the studs and the tub compartment converted to a shower. All new tile, drywall and wainscot, but we were able to re use the vintage sink.

This project was an extensive renovation of an early 20th Century Home in the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood. This was one of several recent collaborations with Newland Architecture. We completely gutted the existing kitchen and bath, we also tore out part of the third floor and added an all new bath where there had previously been a closet. We built a small kitchen addition and placed a massive steel beam to open up the floor plan to the dining room. The house lacked central air, so a high velocity system was added. In floor heat was added to the new kitchen and baths.

This early 20th Century home in the heart of Uptown had a plumbing leak which damaged the existing bathroom. We gutted the bathroom and did extensive structural work to repair rotten and damaged framing. The fixture layout changed adding a shower and a soaker tub. The highlight of this project is the tile installation. The product shown is the Subway Ceramics line from Heritage Tile Works. We also custom built the cabinet that backs up to the tub.

This 1950's home in Edina had a dated bathroom. We gutted the bathroom and upgraded all the plumbing and electrical. We installed a nice 2" marble hex tile on the floor and in the shower and a subway tile on the wall. Not shown is a custom built cabinet that makes use of some space in the kneewall of the dormer that the bathroom is built into. We also did the laundry room in this home.

This bathroom was part of a whole house remodel. On this project a family bought a home in a popular area that had dated mechanicals and a very poorly remodeled kitchen and bath. We opened up the floor plan of the first floor to create a more modern floor plan and built a bump out to expand the kitchen. The tub compartment in this bathroom was borrowed from an adjacent closet. The design is modern and innovative using a floor tile on the wall for an interesting honeycomb look.

Marble Shower

On this project we tore out the dated wood paneling in a basement family room and reframed the space to add a closet and a small bathroom for a house with only one bath. We re wired it, insulated and sheetrocked the family room and put in some new luxury vinyl plank flooring. The highlight of this small bathroom is the marble subway tile installation.

Small Bathroom

Before and After

This St. Louis Park home had a small bathroom that had been very poorly remodeled in the past. We took it down to the studs and replaced all the plumbing and electrical. We expanded the footprint slightly by shortening an adjacent closet and changing the swing of the door. A timeless and classy tile installation and custom vanity make the most of this small space.

This was a project to upgrade and update a small Bungalow bathroom in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. Rather than gut the whole room and start over we are able to upgrade and update what was already there. We re used the existing fixtures and vintage medicine cabinet. The old tub was upgraded to a shower and we put in period tile and fixtures. Most of plaster was re-coated and repainted. The end result is a modern and useful bathroom in the period style. There are thousands of bathrooms in the area that could use an update like this.

Another Longfellow bungalow bathroom. This house lacked a lot of period detail and the homeowner wanted a more modern feel. The bathroom was tiny and we worked with every inch of space, installing a built in wall cabinet on one wall, a vanity with a basin sink, and a tiled cubby in the shower compartment.
